G.T. Bray Park, a few minutes from every home
G.T. Bray is Manatee County’s West Manatee Recreation Complex: 140 acres of courts, fields, pools and trails, open sunrise to sunset with no general entry fee. The host’s listings put the homes 1 to 3 minutes away by car; Salty House’s Airbnb listing says about a 10-minute walk.

The C.V. Walton Racquet Center opened its pickleball courts in May 2022, and Pickleball Magazine named them one of 25 great places to play in 2023. Three of the Seabreeze homes have their own court, so the park is for a bigger game or a rainy day.

Aquatic Center
Olympic-size pool, kiddie pool, play structure and splash pad, with lifeguards. Posted hours weekdays 7 AM to 3 PM, weekends 11 AM to 4 PM.
Laurie Crawford Dog Park
4.25 fenced acres with separate large and small dog areas and shaded pavilions. Closed for maintenance Monday and Thursday 7 to 10 AM.
Playgrounds
Five of them, including an ADA-ramped playground and a fenced one beside the pickleball courts.
Fitness Trail
Almost 1.5 miles of shaded asphalt with exercise stations, linking to 51st Street Park.
Recreation Center
Fitness center, classes, game room and teen room, with day passes. Weekdays from 5:30 AM.
Fields and more
17 athletic fields, batting cages, 3 outdoor basketball courts, a skate park, 18-hole disc golf, 20 horseshoe pits and an amphitheater.

Beyond the park
Robinson Preserve
Over 600 acres of mangroves and marsh with a paved trail, shell trails, a kayak launch and an observation tower. Free. Tram tours are cancelled and some trails are closed through November 2026.
IMG Academy
The sports academy and training campus that hosts tournaments, showcases and camps. Access is by program, event or appointment.
Manatee County Golf Course
County-owned public 18-hole course with a golf shop and snack bar.
IMG Academy Golf Club
Public 18-hole par-72 course with an island green on the 10th.
Palma Sola Causeway Park
Bay-side sand on the way to Anna Maria Island, one of the few local beaches where dogs are allowed.
Warner’s Bayou Boat Ramp
The closest county ramp: 3 lanes, docks and restrooms, open 24 hours.
Bradenton Riverwalk
A 2-mile promenade on the Manatee River with a splash pad, skate park and a ferry stop.
Palma Sola Botanical Park
Ten acres of palms and subtropical plants. Free, and pets are welcome.
Without the car
Buses, a free island trolley and a bay-side bike path
MCAT Route 304
Stops at Manatee Avenue West and 59th Street West beside the park and runs to Manatee Public Beach about every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday.
Anna Maria Island Trolley
Free, every 20 minutes from 6 AM to 10:30 PM, along Gulf Drive between the City Pier area and Coquina Beach.
Palma Sola Scenic Highway
A bike and walking path along the north side of Manatee Avenue, about 4.5 miles to Anna Maria Island.
